Child safety standards
Unit List is a professional networking platform for film and television crew. We have a zero tolerance approach to child sexual abuse and exploitation. This page sets out our standards, how to report a concern, and how we respond.

Our commitment
Unit List does not tolerate any content, conduct or contact that sexually exploits, abuses or endangers a child. This includes child sexual abuse material, grooming, and any attempt to use our platform to identify, contact or harm a minor.
Any account found engaging in this activity is removed immediately and permanently, and the account holder is banned from the platform.
Unit List is a platform for working adults
Unit List is intended for professional film and television crew aged 18 and over. Accounts must represent real, working industry professionals. We do not knowingly allow accounts belonging to children, and any account we identify as belonging to a minor is removed.
How to report a concern
If you see anything on Unit List that you believe sexually exploits or endangers a child, report it to us straight away.
In the app
Use the Report option on any profile. You can also block a user from their profile, which removes them from your directory, feed and messages.
By email
Email our child safety contact at admin@unitlist.co.uk. You do not need a Unit List account to report a concern to us this way.
Contact your local police or emergency services first. In the United Kingdom call 999, or contact the NSPCC on 0808 800 5000. Reporting to us as well helps us remove the account, but it is not a substitute for contacting the authorities.
How we respond
We treat every child safety report as a priority. When we become aware of this kind of content or conduct we:
- Review the report as an immediate priority, ahead of other moderation
- Remove the offending content and permanently ban the account
- Preserve the relevant information where we are required to do so by law
- Report to the appropriate authorities, including the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and law enforcement in the United Kingdom and other relevant jurisdictions
- Cooperate fully with any investigation that follows
Legal compliance
Unit List complies with all applicable child safety laws in the regions where we operate, including the United Kingdom and Canada. We cooperate fully with law enforcement and child protection agencies, and we act on valid legal requests relating to child safety.
Our standards in practice
- Profiles are professional listings for working crew, and are subject to our Terms of Service
- Users can report or block any other user directly from their profile
- Reported accounts are reviewed by a human, not automatically dismissed
- We do not allow the platform to be used to solicit, contact or recruit minors
